Complete 2025 guide to every DVSA Show Me Tell Me question and answer.
At the start of your practical driving test, the examiner will ask you one Tell Me question — before you drive. This tests whether you can explain how you'd perform a vehicle safety check.
While you're driving, the examiner will ask you one Show Me question — asking you to physically demonstrate a safety control whilst keeping the car safe and under control.
Getting both wrong = 1 driver fault (minor). Getting at least one right = no fault. These questions won't fail you on their own — but knowing them perfectly builds examiner confidence in you as a safe driver.
Every current question from the DVSA bank, with model answers. Learn these and you'll walk into your test feeling prepared.
